Underground Car Elevators
An underground car elevator requires a purpose-built pit with reinforced concrete walls and floor. The pit must support the weight of the lift mechanism, the platform, and the vehicle — the Vault supports up to 3,000 kg per platform (with upgrades available for heavier loads). Waterproofing and drainage are critical, especially in Canadian climates where freeze-thaw cycles and water table levels can affect underground structures. The columns are bolted directly to the slab, making installation relatively straightforward compared to underground systems.

However, your existing garage may not have a dedicated 60-amp circuit available for an underground car elevator.
